Toddlers In Town
India adopted a technology-based tax system in August 2016. For my IT company, this meant that GST integration in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software would revolutionize our business. So, I designed a series of educational presentations and tutorials on GST. The purpose of these videos was to educate the taxpayers of India about the new tax reform.
I created this tutorial to explain the basics of Goods & Services Tax (GST) to the students and taxpayers of India. The idea was to add fun and simplicity to legal language. So, instead of presenting jargons, I made a story of a car purchase by the famous Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli. With that approach, the concept became even more relatable.
Since November 2016, I have presented to over 2000 taxpayers including traders, advocates, manufacturers, Chartered Accountants, and students.
Cycle Of Events
Graphics speak better than words, especially when presenting a complicated concept. In my other videos on GST, I explained the idea of registration, returns, payments, and refunds through animated presentations. Using the morph transition in PowerPoint, I showed the transactions taking place in real-life scenarios.
The Bright Side
In November 2016, when India was resisting to change to the new tax system, GST, I stepped in and started providing training to all the taxpayers. During that period, I started a campaign called “Accept Digital. Transform India”, as an educational initiative of my company. In that campaign, I created a series of GST tutorial videos and presented to all the taxpayers through GST seminars and online presentations.
This poster was the face of the Educational Initiative. The light bulb symbolizes lighting hope for a better India under GST.
Tales By Light
A majority of commodities in India are sold without a proper bill. This leads to accumulation of black-money and parallel currency in the economy. I designed this campaign to spread awareness among the customers about getting an appropriate bill with every purchase. During my presentations on GST, I made sure that I spread awareness the listeners about this issue.
I designed this poster to be the face of our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative, “Demand Bill. Enrich India”.
